Impact Day at Chanel

A day of skills-based volunteering: five entrepreneurs supported by Alter Start present their projects to Chanel's teams, who challenge and advise them based on their area of expertise. The aim: to help these micro-entrepreneurs prepare for launching on the market.

The programme

• 10 am – 12:30 pm · Pitch sessions: 5 projects, with a focus on value proposition, marketing strategy or financial strategy.
• 12:30 – 1:30 pm · Shared lunch & storytelling: a lunch prepared by one of our catering entrepreneurs, who will also share their entrepreneurial journey.

How each pitch works

• 10 minutes of pitch and project presentation
• 15 minutes of questions, discussion and feedback from Chanel's teams

Pitches take place in a French-speaking group or an English-speaking group.

The employees' role: honest feedback

Chanel employees share a professional, concrete and spontaneous perspective, on both content and form:

• On content: project feasibility, potential and prospects, value proposition and positioning, marketing, sales or financial strategy, opportunities and points to watch.
• From different angles: as a luxury industry professional, as a customer, or as an investor and decision-maker.
• On form: the way the project is presented.

An extra challenge for our entrepreneurs

Each entrepreneur has thought about how their project could apply to the luxury sector — a way to step outside their usual pitch and help employees picture themselves in the project.

One format, three impacts

• Social impact: supporting entrepreneurs with a migrant background or going through a difficult period, and fostering their economic independence.
• Employee impact: sharing expertise differently, discovering other journeys and strengthening team cohesion.
• Company impact: contributing concretely to ESG / CSR goals and to diversity, equity and inclusion policy.
