Bootcamp week in Kigali

In early November, the Alter Start team is travelling to Kigali for a week of bootcamps on value proposition, business development and marketing strategy.

Aheza: six months already for our incubator in Rwanda

Six months ago, we launched Aheza, our incubation programme in Rwanda, in partnership with African Leaders Hub, our local coordinator. Our ambition: to adapt and replicate the methodology Alter Start developed in Switzerland, as close as possible to local realities and needs.

• One-to-one mentoring every two weeks
• 3 group training bootcamps: feasibility study, value proposition, market research
• 6 months of support — and already the first concrete results

First concrete results

• Stock built: one entrepreneur built up stock worth RWF 89,000, with a margin of around 30%, when he thought it impossible without 2 million.
• First contract: an entrepreneur in event decoration landed her first job — the wedding of her mentor's sister.
• In the spotlight: a videographer from the programme organised a shoot to document what is being built within Aheza.
