Success stories
Ahmad, founder of AMPROD
A photographer and videographer who arrived in Switzerland in 2018, Ahmad became self-employed in 2021.

A professional photographer and videographer with more than 17 years' experience in audiovisual production, Ahmad has worked as a photojournalist, a videographer and then a director of photography on film, documentary and institutional projects.
When he arrived in Switzerland as a refugee in 2018, he faced a complex administrative and professional environment, where setting up as self-employed can seem difficult, even with solid experience.
Decisive support from Alter Start
Meeting Alter Start was a turning point. Thanks to human, structured support, Ahmad managed to turn a period of deadlock into entrepreneurial momentum.
With the support of Hélène Bayeux and his mentor Louis de Saint-Marc, he learned to master Swiss professional codes: structuring his business, invoicing, customer relations and positioning.
Founding AMPROD
At the same time, meeting the Swiss director Jérôme Piguet opened up new opportunities on major shoots.
Since 2021, Ahmad has been fully self-employed and has founded AMPROD, his photo and video production business.
Today he works with institutions, companies and cultural projects in Switzerland, and makes a full living from his craft.
An inspiring journey that shows how support and trust can turn experience and skills into a lasting business.
